Lucindale Area School Wins $10,000 National Environment Award
Students at Lucindale Area School SA took up the challenge to tell their community ‘Recycling only works …. if you buy recycled too!’, by creating a shopping bag with the functionality consumers previously only dreamed about ….. it keeps the frozen foods cold ……. the hot foods hot …… and the eggs from breaking. The entry was incredibly innovative; lightweight insulating neoprene bags with provision for keys, calculator and shopping list around insulated bags.
As importantly, it tells all who use it which grocery products have drawn upon the community’s recycling efforts for packaging their products to us in the supermarket. |
